Kitana comes from another world, and Melena is a clone of Kitana created by Shang Cong, a wizard from another world. The looks of Emerald and Princess Kitana have never disappointed players in each version. The two have known each other since childhood, and they can be regarded as childhood sweethearts. All three had been Shao Kahn's assassins, and after Kitana rebelled against Shao Kahn, Jade joined her side and eventually succeeded in overthrowing the otherworldly emperor.
